Hallie Omogiafo
Founder and CEO of Koody
I'm Hallie Omogiafo, the founder of Koody. I built it for people who want a clearer, calmer way to run their money, without turning personal finance into a second job.
My background blends finance and building. I studied finance at the University of Lagos and later earned an MBA from the University of Oxford. After time in retail banking, I shifted into entrepreneurship and launched Koody in August 2020. These days, I'm hands-on with both the product and the code, because the best money tools feel simple, fast, and human.
Koody is designed to help you make better-informed decisions, not just record numbers. That means practical features that reduce busywork, plus automation and AI that do the heavy lifting where it actually helps: keeping your data tidy, spotting patterns, and turning a pile of transactions into something you can act on.
I write about budgeting that holds up in real life: building categories that make sense, setting up budgets you can stick to, staying on top of recurring bills, and making your plan feel lighter over time.
Life Outside The App
Outside of work, I love reading, spending time with my family and friends, and baking. I'm planning to share a few sourdough recipes on my personal website soon. I also make a mean fruitcake, and yes, the recipe is coming too!
